1- Courses of the students attending the English Language School and the students newly registered in the first semester of the first year in the Fall Semester of the Academic Year 2023/2024 will be assigned as package programs.

a-  No package program assignment will be available for students who are liable to pay tuition and failed to complete their due payments.

b-  English Language School students whose package programs have not been assigned must contact the ELS Office of the Secretary.

c- Newly registered students in the first semester of the first year whose package programs are not assigned must contact their advisors as well as those students with incomplete courses in order to determine their prospective courses; and must complete their course enrollment on the portal and submit for the advisor approval.

2- Announcement on whether the compulsory courses will be assigned as package or not will be made by the relevant faculty for all undergraduate students except for the first year/first semester students. Students are required to add their elective courses and receive their advisor’s approval even though their compulsory courses were assigned as package.

3- Students are expected to check their courses assigned as package program.

The following situations will result in a registration prevent:

  • The payment condition is not fulfilled for the students who are liable to pay the tuition fee,
  • Exceeding the course load within the framework of the related regulation,
  • The regulation conditions are not met in probational cases,
  • Failure to meet the prerequisites for the course (the prerequisite of the course is not based on the registered program but on the basis of the course as defined in the catalog),
  • International students who do not bring the High School Equivalency Certificate to the Registrar's Office,
  • For the students registered in a graduate program with thesis “At the beginning of the 2nd semester and the thesis advisor has not been defined on the system.”

English Preparatory Class Students

Students who have the right to attend the English preparatory class will only pay the tuition fee (except for full scholarship students) and will not register for courses.

Students Who Are Still Attending the Programs

Students who are still attending the programs will make their course registration.

Students Admitted via Undergraduate Transfer

Academic advisors will be obtained from the relevant Faculty Secretaries. After having contacted the student advisor, the course registration will be completed on the Portal as stated in the adaptation decision.

The semesters spent in their previous universities/departments of transfer students are to be included in the maximum period of study. The maximum period of study for students who transfer within the scope of the Central Placement Score (Additional Article-1) is calculated by subtracting the accepted grade year from the maximum period of study for the program.

Click here for details on the registration procedures of newly admitted students via undergraduate transfer.

Double Major / Minor Program Students

Academic advisors will be obtained from the relevant Faculty Secretaries. After having contacted the student advisor, the course registration will be completed on the Portal as stated in the adjustment decision.

During registration, students must register for both the major programs and the double major / minor program courses separately, and must get separate approvals for both programs.

If students in this group are taking a course for both a major and a double major / minor program, they must register in that course in both programs; Likewise, if there is a course substitution process, separate course substitution should be done for both programs.

The course to be counted towards the major or double major program at the end of the relevant semester should be submitted to the Registrar’s Office by filling the “course registration form” and submitting it to the advisor’s approval.

The common required courses of the major and double major / minor program must be taken in the same semester in both programs. For that reason, the registration platform will not allow the drop of the common required course registered in one of the two programs, and for which the registration approval has been obtained.

Click here for details on the registration procedures of newly admitted students to double major / minor programs.

Special / Erasmus Program Students

Students within this scope must have made their applications and accepted before the registration period.

These students do not register for courses. The courses of these students are entered into the system by the Registrar’s Office.

Graduate Students Newly Admitted to the Program

Documents required for registration vary on the basis of programs, and the web pages of the related programs should be reviewed.

Academic advisors will be obtained from the relevant Graduate School Secretary. After having contacted the student advisor, the course registration will be completed on the Portal.

Click here for details regarding the registration procedures of the graduate students newly admitted to the programs.
