LATERAL TRANSFER AND SPECIAL STUDENT PROCEDURES OF STUDENTS STUDYING AT HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN UKRAINE

UNDERGRADUATE TRANSFER APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • To be enrolled in a preparatory class, intermediate class or senior class of a diploma program at a university recognized by CoHE in Ukraine.

  • To have entered the ÖSYS/YKS (Student Selection and Placement System/Higher Education Foundations Exam) in the year of registration and to have fulfilled the required ranking condition for the programs which require a certain ranking at ÖSYS/YKS; otherwise to have achieved the lowest base score of the equivalent diploma programs for the relevant year in Turkey for the programs which do not require a certain ranking.

Those who have been admitted via having their associate degree diplomas issued by a higher education institution in Turkey counted towards an undergraduate program at a higher education institution abroad must also meet the conditions given above.

  • Turkish and foreign students who have been admitted to a diploma program in Ukraine via result of an international exam (SAT1, ACT, Abitur, French Baccalaureate, GCE A Level Certificate, International Baccalaureate IB, Matura Reifezeugnis, Diploma di Maturita) must meet the minimum score requirement for that international exam of the program they will apply for transfer.
  • Students of universities which fulfill the ranking criteria sought in the lists of ranking institutions as mentioned in the ÖSYS/YKS guide for the year they enrolled in the program in Ukraine will also be able to apply for transfer. It is required to achieve in the lists of ranking institutions mentioned in the ÖSYS/YKS guide for the programs other than those which require success ranking.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION

  1. Student Certificate (Original Copy)
  2. Exam result documentation showing LYS and YGS placement scores (Printout of the related page on ÖSYM website). A valid exam result/diploma for international students. 
  3. English proficiency documentation (original) (not required for those who are going to take EPE.)
  4. Transcript (original)
  5. Photocopy of the university catalogue page showing program curriculum and course contents.
  6. Photocopy of the high school diploma or graduation certificate. For the high school diplomas received abroad; a notary certified Turkish or English translation of the diploma in addition to the certificate of equivalence to be received from the Provincial Directorate of National Education.
  7. Certificate of equivalence to be received from the CoHE for the recognition of currently registered higher education institution.
  8. For Architecture programs; a syllabus and a portfolio including works and projects done by far, in addition to above-mentioned documents.
  9. Entry-exit records from the police station
  10. Passport

Applicants are required to apply in person to the Registrar's Office with the necessary documents for application.                      

SPECIAL STUDENT APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates who apply to take courses as a special student must fulfill the English proficiency requirements of the relevant program.
  • For special student applications, it may not be possible to contact the related universities due to the ongoing war. To this end, students must keep in mind that it may not be certain that the courses taken from our university will be counted towards the related program in their own university after the war ends.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION

1) English Proficiency Certificate

3) Payment receipt for application and tuition fees per credit.

4) Entry-exit records from the police station

5) Passport

Applicants are required to apply in person to the Registrar's Office with the necessary documents for application.  

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY

Since the medium of instruction is English in TED University undergraduate programs, applicants who are admitted as transfer students are expected to pass the English Proficiency Exam (EPE) or present an EPE equivalent exam score to be able to attend the diploma program.

ENROLLMENT

Students whose transfer applications are accepted should complete their enrollment by submitting the documents mentioned below to the Registrar’s Office after having paid the tuition fee within the given window.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ENROLLMENT:

  1. 1 photo
  2. Bank receipt of tuition fee payment

The following procedures and principles must be taken into account for transfer/special students in addition to the conditions stated in the related document issued by the CoHE.

1.) The enrollment of students who meet the requirements specified for transfer application will be processed on the announced dates. Students whose registration process has been completed will be on leave during the Spring Semester 2022, and the tuition fee paid for that semester will be counted as a deduction for the Fall Semester 2022.

2.) The students who apply for transfer but application documents are missing will be enrolled as special students. These students will attend classes as a special student during the Fall Semester 2022, and they will be given time until January 31st, 2023 to complete the related transfer documents. Students whose documents have been completed by this date will be able to continue their study as transfer students.

3.) The sum of the credits that a special student can take in a semester cannot exceed the maximum credit limit that can be taken in a semester specified in the related regulations of the university.

4.) Special students can take courses at undergraduate level for a maximum of two semesters.

5.) Special students are not awarded diplomas and cannot take credits. A document showing the courses and grades they have received can be issued upon their request.

6.) Special students cannot withdraw from a course.

7.) Special students must comply with the rules specified in the regulations and policies of the University.

8.) Special students pay the tuition fees based on the courses they attend according to the criteria determined by the Board of Trustees.

9.) The applications, available courses and the total course hours of special students are to be decided by the relevant administrative board, taking opinion of the relevant head of department.
